I haven't been on dA in awhile, and since a lot has happened recently... new journal?

I lost my cat Grayson a few months ago...it was one of the worst days ever. I didn't really want to say anything about it in my last journal... it didn't really feel right. My mom brought him home for me when I was about, seven, or so. I honestly can't remember much before then, so as far as I can remember, he's always been with me. He was really amazing and beautiful...and I should have taken more photos of him and shared him with everyone.

More recently... there was an in land hurricane where I live. I think it's one of the first, ever, really? Maybe. It was awful though. I thought it was a tornado and when I walked out of my basement (went down there with my cat Teddy to be safe!) it looked like the damage from a tornado. Everything was blown over or broken. My family, including my pets (and Ashlee, my puppy! She was outside when it happened) were safe and my home was safe...so it's alright. I know I submitted a lot of photos of the graveyard by me, but it doesn't look like that anymore... many of the trees were uprooted, broken, split in half, or blown over. :/ I lost power for over a week too...which, is why I haven't submitted photos in forever! I have it back now though...so I'm really glad.

I graduated last Friday, still without power at my house though. I actually got a hotel room to get ready in and stayed there the weekend with my mom and nieces. It was kind of like a sleepover though, so it wasn't so bad. So yeah... no more college for now, I'm a graduate. It feels really weird too... like, that all happened so fast. It feels like I just finished high school. It was a lot of fun though. I was sick during graduation too! but still, it was fun. My family came and one of my close friends. It was nice having everyone there, including my nieces too (they're all over my gallery, haha, so you know them). Whenever they called my name, my oldest niece jumped into the aisle and gave me a thumbs up. It was really cute/sweet.

Oh, and Kris won American Idol. I've watched every season and my favorite has never won, until now. I would have been happy either way (although Adam was never my favorite, or my style of music, he seemed like a really nice person, and he did put on a show) but it's really nice to root for someone since the beginning and have them end up the winner.

But yeah...now, I'm back to submitting to my gallery. and hopefully taking more photos. I've missed doing that.

Oh, and I've gotten requests for prints, more so recently. Although I really do appreciate it, most have been on my nieces photos... and I don't have permission to make those into prints, and even if I did, I don't really feel comfortable doing so. So... sorry about that.
