I was going to make this journal awhile ago, but I kept getting distracted. Anyway, I'm un-distracted now, so I'm going to make a new entry.

I have over 10,000 page views. I know page views aren't supposed to mean a lot, but I never really expected I'd get 10,000 ever, so I'm a bit excited. It's pretty neat.

Not breaking my survey-journal entry thing I have going on, I'm going to fill out a deviantart survey now too. It's actually like, two surveys in one... but same thing.

When did you join DA and why?
I joined in 2008. I started visiting in 2004 and I really loved the site, but never really felt like I could upload my own photos. I was talking with one of my friends in 2008 though and they said they loved my photos and that I should submit them here and I had changed since 2004, so I figured why not create an account now and I did.

What was the first deviation you uploaded?
My first deviation feels like forever ago. It was 'Winter Deer I' though - [link]
I still remember taking those photos too.

What was the last deviation you uploaded?

How many deviations have you submitted?
204.

Do you submit everything you create?
Not even. I take so many photos and have done quite a few other photo manipulations- there is no way I could submit them all (or that I’d want to, or anyone would want me to).

Do you read all the comments you get?
Yes, or almost every comment. There have been a few that I've somehow missed (I'm guessing they were buried within other comments and pushed back in my inbox) and I ended up seeing them on my submissions months later. So, I guess I did read them... just not right away.  

Do you reply to all the comments you get?
I reply to all of the comments on my photos, unless it's one of the few that I somehow missed.

Do you read all the favourites/watches you get?
I really love and appreciate all my favorites, comments and watches, so I always check out their profiles and try to thank everyone too.

Do you prefer comments or favs?
I like both (I guess, unless it’s a really harsh comment. I think I can handle positive critique, but not someone ripping into something I loved enough to want to share). I think comments show that someone felt or saw something in your work enough to want to tell you about it though and favorites show that they liked your work enough to want to look at it again…so both are good things.

How much time do you spend on Deviantart?
It depends on the day. Some days I can be here for hours and others I visit for a second or not at all.

What kind of camera do you have?
I know it's pretty bad, but I can't remember all of my cameras off the top of my head. I'll attempt to list them all though. I have my grandpa's Petri, which is my favorite camera, a Holga, four Canon's (two are film, two are digital), a Maxim (it's similar to a Holga, if you've never heard of it), a few other plastic/toy cameras (some don't have labels or brands on them, which probably makes them extremely cheap, but they are adorable), a few pretty old Kodak cameras (film, digital, all are MIA at the moment), some other pretty old cameras that my family got not that long ago, that are in a box, stored away somewhere (they are all different kinds of extremely old, amazing film cameras, but I don't remember every type) and I have this really amazing jeweled/bedazzled disposable camera that is way too pretty for me to use and that I show off to people. Oh, and my nieces have a Pokemon camera somewhere (it's an actual film camera and it's pretty cute).

Is photoshop cheating? I don't really think it's cheating. It's really helpful when you shoot with film, scan your photos and then end up with tiny dust spots on them... photoshop just makes them disappear. It's nice to fix color, sharpness or contrast problems too. I wouldn't use it to layer multiple photos, cut someone out of one photo and pop them into another, or any other kind of manipulating like that though- not unless I was submitting something to photo manipulations.
